Flynn Johnson has announced a headline launch show for THE GREEN BOX THEORY: FRIDAY EDITION, taking place at The Playground HQ in Dublin 12 on Saturday, 21 November. Presented by Golden Éire Records, the intimate event will feature support from Just Mikey and fellow label artist Wallfella, with the expanded album arriving on 6 November.
The show marks a return to familiar ground. On 6 November 2025, The Playground hosted the original THE GREEN BOX THEORY listening experience, where Flynn introduced his debut album through a specially built Green Box installation, personal memorabilia and an early presentation of the record. Almost exactly a year later, he returns to the same venue to bring the music to life through a full headline performance.
Rooted in Flynn’s upbringing in Whitestown, Dublin 15, THE GREEN BOX THEORY documents the friendships, experiences and local memories of his teenage years. The forthcoming FRIDAY EDITION continues that story, returning to the Friday-night gathering mentioned in the original album’s opening moments. Recent singles “MURDER PT II” and “DANCIN’ IN THE DARK” have offered the first glimpses of the expanded record.
Announcing the show, Flynn spoke about the people and places behind the project:
“This is for the boys and girls that lived it with me. This is to prove our story is important. This is for D15. This is for Whitestown.”
The launch will feature an extended headline performance drawing from both versions of the album, with a Green Box-inspired visual setting created inside The Playground’s studio. The evening will also showcase Flynn’s new physical-digital KiTalbum edition, developed in collaboration with KiTbetter, bringing another part of the project’s visual world into a collectable format.
Doors open at 6.30pm on Saturday, 21 November at The Playground HQ, Dublin 12. With capacity strictly limited, the show offers an intimate opportunity to experience both chapters of THE GREEN BOX THEORY live.
