Flynn Johnson marked the arrival of his debut album, THE GREEN BOX THEORY, with an intimate listening experience in Dublin on Thursday, 6 November 2025.

THE GREEN BOX THEORY is Flynn Johnson’s debut album and a concept-led body of work rooted in Dublin 15, Whitestown and the memories of the hill. Across songs of bravado, sorrow and survival, Flynn traces the “children of the hill” and the young voices who learned to find beauty in places others called broken.

The evening included a full-album playback and a Q&A hosted by Odhran O’Brien, with complimentary drinks provided by Jameson. Surrounded by memorabilia connected to the album’s world, Flynn spoke through the stories, places and people behind the record, creating a listening space that felt close to the project.

Flynn later described the night as “overwhelming & emotional”, adding that he had pictured the event from the moment he finished recording the album. In his own words, THE GREEN BOX THEORY is “a love letter to the estate and a thank-you note for the lessons it taught me.”

A very special thanks to everyone who attended, The Playground HQ for hosting the evening, Jameson for supporting the night, Odhran O’Brien for hosting the Q&A, and Josh Mulholland for capturing the highlights video.
