Wallfella releases new EP The Coop is Full

The seven-track project explores overload, vices, mental health, masculinity and the decision to protect your peace.

Wallfella’s new EP The Coop is Full is out now on all major streaming platforms via Golden Éire Records.

Released on 5 December 2025, the seven-track project follows the singles “No Chords” featuring Flynn Johnson, “Smooth Wirreh” and “Blonde in the Black Dress”. Together, the songs build a wider picture of a period marked by overload, vices, emotional pressure and the need to decide what is allowed into your life.

On The Coop is Full, “the coop” represents the space Wallfella gives to people, habits and outside pressure. Across the EP, that space fills with nights out, casual links, drinking, arguments, creative doubt and the expectations that come with building a career in a small Irish Hip-Hop scene.

This project is me being honest about how messy it got when I let everything and everyone into my life,” Wallfella says. “The coop is that space you give people, and for years, I kept it overcrowded. Through these songs, I realised it never needed a crowd; it only needed the right person and the right energy. For me, it’s a story of moving from hopelessness and self-loathing to finding a bit of peace again and actually liking myself.

The EP continues Wallfella’s focus on mental health, masculinity, relationships and working-class life. His writing remains rooted in Northside Dublin language and detail, while the project’s themes reach into more widely felt questions around coping, self-worth, overstimulation and the work it takes to step back from old patterns.

With The Coop is Full, Wallfella turns a personal period of pressure into a grounded, direct and emotionally honest project. It is a record about recognising when the room has become too full, choosing what stays, and learning that peace can begin with closing the door.
